I have got a serious obsession with this show and will use this blog to give my opinion on episodes, talk about my favourite characters, and give the occasional rant on how heartbreakingly unfair it was of Channel 5 to discontinue the series in the UK :(
My current favourite characters (they change frequently) on the show are Rumplestiltskin, Regina, and Hook (I love the bad guys!!!). I love how the writers of the show manage to always show a softer side to the villains, and usually give them pretty tragic back stories, so that you have the occasional moment when you find yourself rooting for them (or at least I do anyway). Another reason for my love of Once Upon A Time probably comes from my love of the famous show Lost (which was also written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, creators of Once Upon A Time). Although the shows are very different I like how (especially in the first season) they make little references to Lost , such as Apollo Bars, Oceanic Airlines and McCutcheon whisky. Another thing I like about Once Upon A Time is how they put their own twist on the fairy tales while still incorporating a little of the traditional tale and a little of the Disney version, which I may talk about in future blog posts.
Anyway, I can't tell you how excited I am for the next half of season 3, as most fans probably know, it revolves around the Wicked Witch of The West, and as Wicked! is pretty much my favourite musical of all time, naturally I am looking forward to this.
